Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Neighbors Helping Neighbors (NHN) is an AVMS sponsored resource for our community residents in their time-of-need (e.g., medical emergency, surgery, illness).

Neighbors Helping Neighbors logoOur NHN volunteers – community residents like you – provide neighbors-in-need with a variety of services such as:

  • preparing and delivering meals
  • providing transportation to and from medical appointments
  • picking up groceries
  • sending get well or condolence cards
  • picking up small grocery items
  • visiting a neighbor
  • taking out trash and placing empty trash cans at one’s garage door

Each of us never knows when we might be in need ourselves… and what better way to get involved in our community than by volunteering to help another neighbor in their time of need.

The NHN Network depends on each and every resident’s participation, so as a community, we may do all we can to assure that our neighbors-in-need receive our support. To volunteer, go to and let us know the service areas that interest you.

Thank You very much!
