AVMS Meeting Minutes June 8, 2026
Call to Order: Bob Turner, President, called the meeting to order at 6:30.
Meeting was held in the Fitness room because of a massive wedding in the Oasis
Pledge of Allegiance
Invocation: led by Kelly Naughton.
Video Presentation: A brief video presentation about the National Museum of the Marine Corps was shown without sound due to unfamiliarity with the system in the Fitness room
Attendance – 31 members, 6 guests
Officer Reports
Treasurer’s Report – Steve Milbrod:
We had a beginning balance of with $19,416.56 and we ended the month with $18,478.20.
We deposited $78.00 of income from the Music Bingo fundraiser.
On the debit side, two checks were cleared totaling $1,016.36. One for $1,000 went to Elisa Massaro, our 2026 student scholarship recipient, and another in the amount of $16.36 was for Music Bingo supplies.
Secretary’s Report – Bob Turner for Gail Boyle:
May meeting minutes were approved by the Board and are available on the AVMS website. Gail thanked Tom for stepping in for her during her absence.
