My Warrior’s Place is a retreat center for Veterans, Military Service Members, Law Enforcement Officers, Fire Fighters and Blue, Silver & Gold Star Families.
Additionally, My Warrior’s Place offers several amazing programs for those who have put their life on the line for our safety and well-being, endured the death of a fallen warrior and/or experienced the horrors of war.
Each program offered by My Warrior’s Place plays an important role in the healing and coping process and the support that is obtained through these programs is priceless.

JFCS – Jewish Family & Children’s Service – Veterans Outreach
JFCS supports veterans and their families who reside on the Suncoast who are confronting life’s challenges. We offer case management and financial and employment assistance to low-income veterans and their families who are homeless or who are about to become homeless. We work with veterans in the Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto and Lee Counties.
JFCS’s client-centric approach provides care for Veterans to maintain a self-sufficiency and facilitates solutions to living a healthy lifestyle with a support system. Through the Operation Military Assistance Program (OMAP), Veterans are able to gain the assistance needed to obtain or maintain permanent housing, removing the barriers to living a stable, comfortable, and more satisfying life.

Ringling College of Art & Design, Military and Veterans Affiliated Services
Helps veterans with applying for benefits, assisting with VA education benefits, and connecting students to resources such as advising, counseling, and financial aid. Additionally, Ringling’s Veteran’s Club offers veterans the opportunity to share stories through art and outreach. They proudly present War Paint: Profiles of Courage, featuring an annual exhibit of portraits of local veterans created by the students. VAbenefits@ringling.edu
MacDill Air Force Base
Each year, AVMS supports the active-duty troops at MacDill AFB through Operation Thanksgiving. Through direct donations, AVMS has been able to provide 400 commissary gift cards used to provide Thanksgiving meals.
