AVMS Veterans Day 2024 Celebration

On Sunday, November 10, Del Webb Lakewood Ranch’s Association of Veterans and Military Supporters (AVMS) held its Veterans Day 2024 celebration in the Oasis.

Lisa Goss from Ringling College spoke and engaged three veteran / students – Lia Lobasco, Austin Powell and Arcell Salunga – to hear about their military experiences and their studies at Ringling College.

Representatives from our Charity partners were also in attendance and were presented with our 2024 donation checks, which totaled $35,000 for the year.

Master Sergeant Patrick Rolfe from MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa also addressed the attendees regarding the continuing support from AVMS. Operation Thanksgiving 2024 raised over $19,000 for military families at MacDill.

Del Webb’s Let’s Sing Choir sang a rousing rendition of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic”.
